The Artemis 1 mission took place between the launch on 16 Nov 2022 and the splashdown on 11 Dec 2022. This mission was the first of a series that will result in mankind returning to the Lunar surface. The Space Launch System(SLS) and the Orion spacecraft were uncrewed for this initial mission to the Moon and back.
